My partner took his first 10 mg Ritalin tablet earlier today. (Previously un-medicated). He’s spent the last 2 hours cleaning his office! Can it really work this quickly?
Yes it can! That is how stimulants work! you may find 10mg to not be enough but each time you up it, you should see results like that.
It can happen that fast.
With stimulants yes, it's how they work. They are fast acting but also metabolise quickly, hence why the are usually taken a few times over the course of a day.

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder is a brain disorder characterised by three patterns of behavior; inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Although it is common to meet these behaviors in young children, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder amplifies them. As a result, children or young adults suffering from it may experience social and integrational difficulties in school, university or job.
