Does anyone have experiences with Duloxetine or Cymbalta?

Husband agreed to go to the doctor, he went to the doctor (without me as I’m unwell today), he spoke about mood swings and possibility of official diagnosis and got prescription for 60 mg Duloxetine. I genuinely hope this is the start of some positivity. I feel like I’ve completely fallen out of love with him because of the way he treats me, speaks to me, puts me down, is negative about literally everything. Has anyone got any experience of Duloxetine / Cymbalta?

My husband is currently on 90mg of it which is quite high. Usually starting dose is 30mg going up 60mg. I also work in MH services.
I feel exactly the same. I'm currently burnt out. He has had no side effects from it apart from sweating but it doesn't seem to be doing all that much. He is also having CBT along side it. He is so negative all the time and the mood swings are terrible..so sadly I can't say anything positive as yet. He has also tried citalopram and Mirtazapine with no good effect. Think he desperately needs something that will help his dopamine levels to balance him some how. He can't see what good things he does have and if he does he can't appreciate or enjoy them. I'm scared he will never change and ever be happy xx

Is this in conjunction to stimulants/non stimulants for ADHD? Did the Dr explain it can take 6-8 weeks for it to be working, and to start low and work up as needed?

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder is a brain disorder characterised by three patterns of behavior; inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Although it is common to meet these behaviors in young children, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder amplifies them. As a result, children or young adults suffering from it may experience social and integrational difficulties in school, university or job.
