I am writing in behalf of my husband. He does not do social media. He has been enduring chronic pain for more than 3 years now and it is bad for him (and beginning to effect me). He fell early one morning getting up to use the restroom, feet got tangled in bed covers, one hand hit the mattress the other the floor with his full body weight. He is 6 feet 5 inches. Anyway, to get to the point, after infection set in, operation, and home IV, his hand is still not functional and very painful. He cannot take pain killers. Any suggestion on the route to pursue some relief for this man would be greatly and deeply appreciated.

Chronic pain syndrome is a condition that develops when the cause of the pain is gone but the pain persists. This condition usually coexists with other disorders such as depression or anxiety, complicating the quality of life even more. Although difficult to treat, chronic pain syndrome can be managed with the combination of therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy and counseling.
