Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism or overactive thyroid results in increased production of thyroid hormones from the thyroid gland. It can be primary or secondary and presents with signs of accelerated metabolism such as weight loss and tachycardia. Decreased tolerance to heat and irritability are also common. Radioactive iodine administration and medication to control heartbeat are recommended.

I’m four weeks into taking 5 mg of Methimazole and as of yesterday I felt awesome! Lots of energy and except for hurting my back yesterday, less pain! Seem to be sleeping a lot better! Just hope now, that I don’t go hypo!

Since I have hyperthyroidism I have scalp eczema as well. I have tried so many things but nothing worked really. My levels are getting better but my eczema is worst now. If anyone can advice me something I can try that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
