Can Macrobid cause IC flare ups?

micheal posted 2 weeks ago

Did anyone experience IC symptoms of pain urgency frequency, have a negative culture with blood in my urine. I did acupuncture, diet, d mannose, marshmallow root and Aloe Vera. I became asymptotic so repeated my Irvine rest previous to cystocopy and hydrodistention. It came back with no Blood showing and ecoli bacteria. No symptoms at all. Doctor convinced me To take macrobid. Day 4 I became so sick, cough, body aches, chills headache. No fever. Has anyone had bacteria show up several weeks into flare? Got sick from macrobid, when and how?

I've consistently had negative cultures, with some blood in my urine, which is suspected to be from a kidney stone. One theory of bacteria showing sometimes and sometimes not is persister cells underneath biofilms, which has been found sometimes in lymes disease.
