I'm struggling with whether I have "IC" or an embedded UTI. My journey started with a standard UTI, I treated it myself (I know, rookie mistake but I was desperate and in pain) with old Cipro antibiotics, it wouldn't kick it so I got a short course of Macrobid from doctor. It cleared up but symptoms came back a couple days later, but culture/tests came back negative for infection. Doctor said IC but they gave me Cephelexin to see if it would help any. I noticeably feel a lot better while on it but I'm afraid once I stop the course, my symptoms will re-surge. I've read that IC can be misdiagnosed often and it's really an embedded UTI. I have not been to a urologist but have an app soon. IC'ers --- do antibiotics help or do you guys get no relief from them?
D mannose powder really helped me
I'm on a low dose microbid daily and the D Mannose
